About the Sagentix website scan

Seeing SagentixWebsiteScan/1.0 in your logs? That is our free scan, started by someone who stated they own or manage the site, or have its owner's permission.

What it does

A passive, outside-in check: it reads what any visitor, search crawler or mail server can see (robots.txt, the homepage, up to 12 pages, the sitemap, headers and the certificate, public DNS records). No port scans, no path guessing, no attack payloads, no logins.

What it asks of your site

• At most 120 HTTP requests and 12 TLS connections per scan, one connection at a time, at least one second between two requests to your site, and 6 minutes at most.
• At most 3 scans of your domain in 24 hours, whoever asks.
• One homepage request under each documented AI crawler's name, to check what it is served.

Opt your domain out

Write to stephane@sagentix.ca (name the domain). We will not scan it again.
